An easy way to get over things with are bothering you (anxiety) is to 'invent' a reason. This is called Cognitive dissonance.
As for ways to help you get over your problems:
- Writing them down - helps me a lot when insomnia kicks in
- Being around other people/friends
- Listening to music/watching a film/reading a book
- Drinking (although this isn't really solving them just postponing them)
- Sleeping
