You need to go to your Gmail Settings page, and go to "Get mail from another account". Use your Hotmail address, and use the following information:
username: username@hotmail.com
password: your password
POP3 server: pop3.live.com
Port: 995
SSL: Enabled
If that isn't working, try this hack version:

If this does not work, then you will need to link together your Gmail and Hotmail accounts by the method on this page:
